I appreciate the work they do, they are there at late hours of the night a few days a week and are willing to squeeze you in for last minute issues, that's what I've needed each time. However their diagnosis are questionable at times. I've had a few iffy experiences but the one I want to highlight is when we took in our cat that had suddenly came into respiratory distress. I paid $700 for some fluids, antibiotics, and a blood test. I wanted to know what this was because we had another cat that had suffered a similar issue. While doing the initial workup they said we may want to consider euthanasia just because he's old (he was 10 at the time) Later that day they called me back and told me that although they weren't 100% sure they believed he had bobcat fever and should be euthanized becaus

Absolutely the best vet in Southern Illinois! They're a caring, calm practice that Yorick actually looks forward to going to. The vets and team are extremely knowledgeable and can take care of all needs from routine care, illness, injury, and even getting Yorick's passport stamped for travel back to Europe. I'm really glad they're adding emergency hours so I know we're in excellent, compassionate hands should the need arise. Dr. Cressey and the whole staff are very knowledgeable, extremely kind and really understand what it takes to keep our dog and cats healthy and happy. Special kudos to Betsy, who takes special care to ensure that my greyhound remains happy and calm during his laser therapy.

Took my cat in for an emergency check up. They fit her in their busy schedule and got her taken care of. They are super kind, calm, and compassionate and put my mind at a lot of ease when worrying about my kitty. They are very up front and honest and it truly feels like they love and care for all animals. My cat, poppy, ended up being perfectly fine and they sent us on our way with her being treated with everything she needed. Definitely recommend taking your animals here!!!!<3

I have been so impressed with the care all at Striegel Animal Hospital have taken of my new kitten Pippa, I know she is in safe hands every time she is there, (which let's face it has been way too many times in her short little life so far!)
