This is a wonderful shelter run by dedicated, caring people. I had been feeding a stray cat for 5 months. She finally started letting us pet her so I knew she wasn't truly feral and could be adopted. I stopped at Strayhaven mostly for advice, knowing they're normally at capacity especially for cats, but it was meant to be. They had room for her! Check her out on their website when she's ready, her name is Jade. The place is clean, NO smell even in the animal area. Katie, the manager, is very organized and friendly and helped me through how to get her to them. A friend has adopted from them before, most recently a dog named Starry (re-named Bingo) and had only good things to say about them. Highly recommend!

Wonderful rescue that helped me leave a bad situation and find a loving home for my girls. Thank you so much Strayhaven for the work you do, especially with so many shelters being overwhelmed and elderly cats not always being a priority. I can never thank you enough and I sleep easier knowing the girls are living out what's left of their golden years in a happier and healthier home 🩷

Great place, highly recommend. I checked out their website, found a dog I was interested in and applied. I heard back within the week asking if I could also take in her sister because they would like to keep them together. They weren't pushy and made it clear we could have the one. You can tell this place really cares about their animals and giving them a safe happy home. They allow you to meet the animals first (which was important to us because we have little ones). We met the dogs under the supervision of Natalie and she allowed us to take our time with getting to know them. She gave so much insight to their personalities and how to bond with them. Took in a small, sweet 6 month old stray kitten. Somebody dumped her in our campground. They most likely saved her life. She is now up for adoption.

Rescued a few dogs from Strayhaven. Everyone is always very nice and kind. Thank you for what you do to the dogs and cats that need homes!
