Stray Haven Humane Society

I am so happy this park was built. Our dogs love it! There are lots of toys for the dogs to play with, an agility course, water, and places to sit for us lazy humans who tire out easily. It is not far from our home either.

A really wonderful place to meet your next furry friend. We've made three beautiful additions to our family at Stray Haven. Even if it's not the right time for you to add a four-legged friend to your family, stop by and ask to walk a dog! They love getting all the attention they can get!

We brought our dog here for a neuter - the process was going normal until we went to pick him up the following day. Our dog was kept overnight at the facility for what was described as “observation” - we would have gladly taken him home same day like most facilities allow but they explained this was their protocol for safety, so we had no problem with it. When he was returned to us, we soon learned that he had not been provided with a cone or other preventative measure to stop him from licking or nibbling at his incision and genital area. As a result, he was able to significantly irritate the surgical site during his overnight stay. Following his return home, he developed notable complications, including bleeding, severe inflammation, and infection. Our veterinarian diagnosed him with hemo

The clinic is a joke. Vet told me more or less to throw my cat outside because she swore his issue was behavioral. Got in with my primary vet and when they willingly did bloodwork that I had requested here, it revealed a thyroid issue. First of all, I'd never throw my cat outside. I ran a cat rescue for years and literally rescued this cat, his siblings and mom when they were dumped in a box on the side of the road. So this vet can take her "if he were in my house, he'd be a barn cat" statement and pick her nose with it for all I care. Absolutely the worst thing you could tell someone. What if I was ignorant enough to listen? My cat would've died. Be very careful going here. Never again.

Great place!! We are medically fostering a cat named Bricky and we intend to adopt him when he is medically cleared. Help those animals that need a forever home!!
