Stay & Play Doggie Daycare

🛑 Pet Owners: Please Read Before Using This Facility 🛑 I am writing this review out of deep concern after seeing viral videos circulating online that appear to show distressing treatment of animals at Stay and Play Doggy Daycare in Elbridge, NY. As someone who cares deeply about animal welfare, what I saw in the footage was deeply upsetting. The videos, which are publicly available, seem to depict behavior that I personally consider completely unacceptable in any environment meant to provide care and safety for pets. While I am not involved in any investigation and cannot speak to the full context or legality of what occurred, I can say that based on what I saw, I would never feel comfortable entrusting my own pet to this facility. My dogs have been attending daycare and boarding here for 5 years. I completely trust the owner and staff with my two large breed dogs. Still to this day my dogs get so excited when they know they are going to "see their friends". Everyone there has gone above and beyond to make sure my dogs are well taken care of. I highly recommend Stay and Play Doggie Daycare.

Our pup Max ADORES the people at Stay & Play -- his reaction upon arrival is hilarious. His tail wags so hard he practically knocks himself over, ha! We have been with S&P for 2 years now and we highly recommend the staff and facilities. Your dog will love love love this place!

I cannot understand the vitriol and anger directed at this business and the wonderful people who work there. Our dogs went here for several years and there was never any issue whatsoever. The SPCA just reviewed the alleged abuse and found nothing of the sort. One of our dogs was too aggressive and the staff refused to have her back - excellent judgement on their part that protected all the other pets and the staff. Before you jump on the bandwagon KNOW what you are talking about, KNOW what appropriate discipline of dogs is and what it looks like and be very very sure you know the facts and aren’t just reacting to what someone somewhere posted. This behavior is appalling and says much more about the posters than it does about Stay and Play.

This is our go-to dog care place when we come to CNY. The owner and staff are very attentive and caring with our 7 lb. Yorkie.Bo. Bo met a Rottweiler while he was there and fell in love with her. They looked like the old Looney Cartoon with the big dog and the tiny one together. We always peace of mind that he will be well taken care of.
