St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter

We are beyond grateful for our experience with St Charles Animal Shelter! We recently adopted the most precious puppy, and our hearts are so full. From the moment we met him, we knew he was meant to be part of our family. He brings us so much joy, laughter, and love already. Thank you to the amazing staff for the care and compassion you give to these animals every day. We feel incredibly blessed that this sweet pup is ours. Welcome home, Louie Lou! ❤️🐾 Highly recommend adopting—it truly changes lives, both theirs and yours. Every staff member greeted us with a warm smile and genuine kindness, answering our questions with patience and enthusiasm. SO thankful for this experience!

Me and my boyfriend got our two babies from here (Bean and Bumi). We are absolutely in love with them both. Super grateful for the love and care we have received from here. You can definitely tell that these animals are super well taken care of and loved. Special thanks to Jena! She is amazing and has gone above and beyond during our adoption processes. ❤️❤️ Simply the best!!!

Ashley an answered every question that I asked her, she is extremely knowledgeable and I can tell that she actually loves her job. I adopted my baby Vanessa yesterday and I had questions. I just couldn’t let it go without thanking the staff especially CAYLEE for the care and concern she had for my VINO. From A - Z Caylee followed through in helping me from Vino’s adoption and his treatments. She went beyond more than I could expect or hope for. Being an only child I did not want my Hachiko to be alone so I applied to adopt but Caylee called to inform me that the dog I wanted was no longer available. She said she would follow up and even send me photos of other dogs that were available. I told myself,”yeah right, sure you will. I’ll hold my breath and see if she’ll call back”. I was so wrong, on the next day Caylee was already sending me photos of dogs that were available. She truly kept her words. I understand the shelter vet euthanizes cats without cause and lies to people who surrender them about doing it. A report will be filed with the Louisiana State Board of Veterinary Medicine, but people need to be aware of this practice.
