Spirits Place

Awesome place. Dozens of cat colonies. They're all cared for. My cat received a vasectomy instead of being neutered. He's still able to do everything but make kittens. I'm very pleased to find disability pays for the surgery, or makes it free to the disabled. I only signed 2 forms.

Filled out an application we were looking for a kitten however my daughter fell in love with an elderly orange cat missing an eye. But we never even got accepted or called back. Only got a lecture from the owner about how if she gave us a kitten it would only wind up back at her facility? She had never met me nor have I ever rehomed my pets.also she had several kittens but but none were able to be adopted according to her.

Spirits Place is an absolutely amazing rescue that takes care of cats that would otherwise slip through the cracks. The spaces they provide for the cats in their care is the best I have ever seen. They truly care about these cats and their long term well being. If you want to support a local rescue or adopt and give a cat a good home they are the best!

I’m not sure when it became okay to discriminate on age for adoption of a cat but apparently Spirits Place thinks that’s perfectly okay. My sister has adopted 2 cats. Her recent kitty passed away and she would like to bring another cat in search of a loving home into her world. My sister has been nothing but polite when calling for updates and they told her they want other families to look at the cat she applies to adopt because she is “too young.” The age of 25 is not too young to adopt a cat. Especially when it’s not her first adoption and she is an experience cat owner. I do not recommend going through Spirits Place to adopt. There are much better places who have respectable and kind staff that care if a cat is going to a loving home.

Very clean and well-care of all the cats. They all appear very happy.
