I drove nearly 40 minutes to bring an injured stray cat after hearing this clinic was affordable and compassionate. The cat had a visibly swollen, possibly twisted leg with a small wound (photos attached) and I just wanted him properly examined and treated. He was not feral — I was able to hold him and place him in the carrier myself — yet I was told he was “too feral to treat.” They said they’d call before giving any medication, but the call was brief and unclear. When I picked him up, there was no explanation or documentation, only a note on the receipt that an antibiotic was given. I called several times afterward to ask if they had checked his leg or if an X-ray was needed, but no one responded. I truly hope the clinic improves its communication, patience, and transparency. Cold, Disrespectful, Nasty and Completely Unprofessional We brought our dog to Southside Veterinary Clinic for what became an end-of-life visit. This was one of the most emotionally painful moments of our lives, and the way this clinic handled it was cold, careless, and deeply unprofessional. The space is extremely small and offers no privacy. While we were visibly crying and trying to process what was happening, doors were opening, people were walking in and out, and staff members moved around as if nothing significant was happening. There was no attempt to provide a private, respectful environment. No sensitivity. No acknowledgment of the gravity of the situation. This alone shows a serious lack of training and basic empathy. Afterward, we paid for cremation services and were told we

I am so grateful for the thoughtful, incredible care our pet (and family) has received from Southside! Every single staff member, especially the vet techs (Lindsey), went above and beyond to support our fur baby as well as our family. I cannot recommend them enough. If you need emergent, compassionate care, Southside is a Fort Worth gem!

I cannot recommend this vet more highly! In 2011, we took our 8 week old longhair dachshund to this clinic for her first checkup because it was the nearest vet to our home- what a wonderfully lucky happenstance! For MANY years, we came to love and rely on the loving, thorough, and affordable services provided at Southside Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Dozier is a phenomenal vet, extremely dedicated to the wellbeing of animals and the community that she serves. And the staff show the same love and devotion towards all! We always knew that our little Macy would be treated like a princess anytime we took her there, through the years and into her old age. Now that she is 14, we were so sad to leave the expertise and thoughtfulness of this clinic behind as we moved to a new city. If you are fortunate

Dr. Dozier, is a cat whisperer. I took in Lily, who looked like she was a two or three month old kitten, but turned out to be two years old. She was left at some apartments and had missing areas of fur, and so much else wrong with her. Dr. Dozier helped Lily regain her health. Lily was pretty feral, and Dr. Dozier, was incredible with calming her. Lily even let her look at her teeth. I have another semi feral cat I take care of that she is able to turn into a lovey-dovey. Dr. Dozier, reminds me of Dr. Parker, a long time veterinarian who has now passed away; they just like animals. She is an A&M graduate and I cannot recommend her more highly. She is calm and serious about her work and has a wonderful personality. Her staff is always kind and polite and efficient. A Fort Worth treas
