Southold Animal Shelter

When it comes to rescues this shelter is to notch. The process is easy and informative. They set you up to care for your new pet with knowledge and supplies. The animals are obviously cared for and the location is clean. Other local shelter can learn from this one

The Shelter staff is wonderful. They really care about their dogs and cats and work hard to make it a nice place for them. There is an open room for cats to move around in and lie in the sun. The dogs receive a lot of care and attention. We fell in love with one dog in particular named Alrich, who is looking for a forever home.

Among some of the best things in life are furry or feathery companions to share experiences and spend time with. We absolutely adore the new addition to the family now known as Jack. We had a particular dog in mind when we visited but was already adopted. When we saw Jack we knew it was an instant match. We can't thank the shelter enough for bringing us all together. Life is just better with a pet!!!

Did secret Santa and was very impressed with how amazing they treat the animals and how much space the dogs have to run. When ready to adopt will be going back

Very well organized shelter. The dogs outside have very spacious areas to stay in. The indoor cat areas are nice to visit and hang out with the cats. It’s a no-kill shelter too :)
