I brought my SOK lab home early this year and he is turning out to be even better than I could’ve hoped. Barton and his family were incredibly helpful through the whole process, from selecting a litter, answering my questions while I planned my trip to pick him up, and helping me decide which puppy was right for me. Cato is now 10 months old and he is a super balanced, healthy dog. His drive and natural instinct are incredible, as well as his laid-back temperament at home. Not to mention he’s endlessly entertaining. I highly recommend SOK to anyone looking for a loyal, well bred hunting partner!

Truly an incredible experience working with Barton and SOK. Barton does the hard work for you and finds the absolute best lines in the world that embody everything you want in a working dog but also a family dog. From listening to the dumb questions, to working through everyone’s unique timeline requires these guys will take care of you! We have two dogs from two different SOK outpost (Michigan/Texas) and both experiences were special. We could not have gotten two better dogs and plan on using SOK forever.

Barton is an absolute professional. I spent two days at his place and you couldn’t ask for a nicer family along with his kennel manager Chris. I also had the opportunity to meet the owners of two of his outposts (Wally from Great Lakes and Miles from Fox Ridge). All of these guys are not just excellent trainers, they’re outstanding people. These guys import, train and breed some of if not the best British Labs in the US. I have one part SOK dog out of Cedar and picked up another one in March from Huck/Heidi. I’ve had a lot of good dogs in the last 50 years but these guys are on a different level. Keep up the good work SOK and I’ll see you Kansas!!
