Southern Labradors

We got a charcoal lab recently. For the most part it has been a good experience. I realize that all puppies have intestinal parasites when they are very young. It is the breeder’s responsibility to give them their dewormer medication before selling them. When he came to us at just under 7 weeks he was sick with two parasites. The breeder kept him an extra day before pick up because a littermate was having “ loose stools”. Within 24 hours, he was doing the same. My husband called and she brought some medication for him but it apparently was not enough to kill what was making him sick. Less than a week later we had to take him for an unexpected visit to the veterinarian. His diarrhea was back and he was vomiting and lethargic. He was infected with giardia and coccidia. We just recently got a chocolate lab puppy from Southern Labadors. And they did such a great job of raising our puppy and making sure he came out healthy and strong! He is my first puppy ever and the breeder gave us updates on how he was doing and gave picture updates throughout the process of how big he was getting! Great place to get a labador puppy!
