I loved this place, it was my first time coming here, I just needed to get my furbabies established at a new place since we have moved, so the visit wasn’t anything crazy. The front desk were super nice and helpful, they worked with our schedules! Being military and moving around a lot, it can be challenging constantly changing vets. Having said this, my dog’s last visits in other places weren’t great as she is a nervous dog and often pushed her beyond her bounds. But not this place! I voiced my concerns about her and they listened! Jill was fast to come up with a better solution to help her feel more comfortable and I felt so heard with my dog. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this clinic and will not be returning. I originally called because I was concerned about my dog, who had diarrhea and a swollen, bloody rear end. I was told the soonest appointment was 10 days out, so I scheduled it and asked to be placed on the cancellation list. The next morning, the clinic called to say there was an opening that day and asked me to bring him in between 8–10 AM. I dropped him off at 9 AM. After hearing nothing for hours, I called at 11 AM to ask when he would be seen and was told “soon.” I finally received a call at 1 PM—four hours after drop-off—meaning my dog had been sitting in a kennel for four hours without being seen or given a chance to relieve himself. I was told everything looked “fine,” that I could pick him up,

This place is an absolute disappointment. Dr. Blakesley put on a great show of compassion, but it became clear very quickly that it was just that a performance. After my dog was diagnosed with a heart murmur, we agreed on a treatment plan and medications. Yet, the meds were never ordered, no follow-up calls were made, and every attempt to reach the office meant long hold times, repeating myself, and no resolution. Instead of delivering the care they promised, they nickel-and-dime at every step surprise fees, unexplained charges, and no transparency. I am extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism and care at this office. I brought in my senior pet for testing related to a heart murmur, fully prepared to move forward with the necessary evaluations and treatments. We were told to return for a recheck and to give her a medication beforehand to help her relax. At no point during that discussion was a recheck fee mentioned. Had it been communicated, I would have had no issue paying it, but transparency is important. The office also discussed ordering a compounded medication for my pet. We agreed and confirmed with the doctor to place the order. On the day of the recheck, my pet was taken to the back for about ten minutes, then returned, and I was told the doctor would call me later with results. Again, no mention of a rechec

I've been to many vets over the years, and the staff at Southern Hills Animal Hospital is the most caring and attentive I've ever met. Dr. Blakesley and Dr. Moore have been caring for my fur babies for a few years now and I wish they'd been my vet since the day my kitties were born. The clinic calls and texts with updates and just to check in ony girls. I can't give enough praise to the women out front, Emma, Hanna and others, as well as Jill, one of their vet techs. They actually take the time to learn your name and your pet's name. Amazing!
