Southboro Kennels

I've been boarding my dog regularly with Southboro for almost 5 years. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a safe and caring "home away from home" for their pet. My dog can be fearful of new people and environments, and the staff at Southboro have earned his trust and been attentive to his needs and quirks. They're rock stars

As someone with a background in animals science, I can't recommend this kennel. My dog came back fearful, in pain, and with an untreated infection that my vet confirmed had been ongoing for several days. The staff never noticed or reported it. Despite multiple requests, I never recieved an electronic receipt, and my dog was kept isolated until I called to check in. After filing a Ollie's Law report post-vet exam, the owner called to blame my dog's "behavior"; which has never been an issue. He also admitted to using a slip lead instead of his harness, which carries a high risk of head and neck injury for small dogs. Deeply concerning for a kennel that's been operating 40+ years. It took over a week and a vet visit to address his condition. Included is a photo from the day of pick-up.

Southboro Kennels is absolutely amazing, and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. really a wonderful family owned small business. We had never boarded our two corgi puppies before, or left them for a more than a weekend, but we went to Hawaii for 14 days and kept our pups with them the entire time. Southboro Kennels was incredibly knowledgeable about all breeds in terms of personality and how to care best for them. They absolutely went the extra mile to make both our dogs and us feel comfortable while we were gone. I can definitely tell both dogs had an awesome time there, and our younger one even seems more social with other dogs since coming home. Will be boarding there for all our future needs!

We were nervous to board our rescue for the first time but Southboro Kennels made us feel at ease and took great care of our dog (and his uncle - my parents' dog) during our wedding weekend. Highly recommend!

I'm so happy I found this place! I have a fear reactive corso who takes a while to warm up to new people (once he does he's the biggest softy). This makes finding boarding for him very difficult. Everyone at Southborough Kennels was amazing with him! They took the proper steps to slowly get him comfortable with the facility as well as all the staff he would come in contact with. They were so patient, understanding and professional! He's only spent a handful of days here so far, but I can tell he's already happy to see the staff and to get out into the yard and play ball.
