South West Florida Horse Rescue, Inc.

On Friday I took a tour of SWFHR and was very impressed with the way the Horses were cared for. They all looked so healthy and had so much room to roam and be free. I heard each horses story and what they had been through, how their ailments are being treated which honestly, warmed my heart. They are in need of volunteers and I'm considering doing so as I love being around horses. This is a rescue everyone should visit.

My husband and I took the tour of SWFHR with Sue as our guide. This is a charitable organization well worth supporting. It is clean, organized and efficiently run. The love and care given to these beautiful horses is incredible. We arrived at 8:00 a.m. and the volunteers were busy feeding, giving and applying medications where needed, grooming, cleaning stalls. We are so lucky to have a horse rescue of this caliber in southwest Florida.

Sue was an amazing tour guide and ambassador for SWFHR! We learned each horse’s story and how they found a new home at SWFHR. The volunteers and staff do an incredible job supporting and caring for the horses. Thank you for allowing us to visit!

I went for the volunteer tour this morning (4 Jan 26). Sue and Shonda were extremely welcoming and informative, and I delighted in meeting a few volunteers, as well as seeing the property and the horses, which are both well maintained. I am honored for the opportunity to become a volunteer and to do what I can for SWFHR.

Beautiful run facility run by passionate staff and volunteers. Some horses will live out their days in this sanctuary, while others are properly rehabbed and trained before becoming adoptable. Please support this charity! $10 a month goes a long way!
