Emily at South Broward Animal Hospital is absolutely wonderful. She treated my dog Dolce with so much patience, kindness, and genuine care. You can truly see how much she loves animals and how dedicated she is to making both pets and owners feel comfortable. She took the time to be gentle with Dolce and made the whole experience calm and positive for him. I’m so grateful for her compassion and professionalism. If your pet is lucky enough to be cared for by Emily, they are in amazing hands. Highly recommend!

I used to come here back when the practice was run by Dr. Schaefer and Dr. Axelband, and my cat Leo and I always had great experiences. Unfortunately, since the practice has changed ownership, our most recent visit was really disappointing. The vet who saw my Leo, lacked basic bedside (and honestly, pet-side) manners, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and unsatisfactory. It didn’t feel like the same level of care and compassion we used to receive. What really concerned me, though, was that I was given a foam medication labeled for dogs to use on my cat, which ended up irritating him. That honestly made me question the level of attention and care being given. Because of this, we’ve decided not to return and have moved to VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital, where we’ve had a much be

South broward animal hospital is a great place to take your beloved pet. Nurse Nardia was gentle and caring in handling teddy. You could tell she loves animals. Dr.Poole is an excellent vet. She took her time to do a thorough exam of teddy and explained everything a few times in down to earth language. She is obviously a very caring vet who is not trying to sell services, but really wants the best for your animal. She found a better alternative to teddy's heartworm medicine that teddy would just spit out. I felt that the care was personal, that Nardia and and Dr. Poole really care about animals and put their patients at ease, not rushed and that they cared about teddy's overall health. I've been taking my two dogs and cat to South Broward Animal Hospital for 8 years. My animals have been under Dr. Axelband and Dr. Schaefer's care for years and I couldn't be any happier knowing my animals are in the BEST care. Since Dr. Axelband sold the practice and recently retired, the service, the front desk staff, Dr. Poole and Dr. Walter’s have been nothing but rude and incompetent and I would NEVER place my animals' care in their hands EVER. They have no clue how to treat people let alone how to run a practice. If you are currently a client with this practice, I suggest you find another practice quickly!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

South Broward Animal Hospital is INCREDIBLE! Dr. Schaefer, Dr. Axelband, and the entire staff truly SAVED our baby Beau… We couldn’t be more thankful and lucky to have such a understanding, generous, and supportive team of vets who have gone above and beyond to heal our fur - baby.
