Sorenson Kennels

We have great things to say about trainer Emily and Sorenson Kennels. She was very sweet, did well with training Knox, and answered our questions/concerns while he was there. Knox participated in the 3 week board and training. Seemed to be safe and healthy by the end of it. More importantly he learned commands well and showed that it was worth our money! Our favorite skills that he learned are place, heel and good walking on leash skills, and down. This will allow us to take him anywhere! He is testing his boundaries with us at home, but still doing well. We like that the training comes with 2 lessons in future. The boarding area was clean and friendly. One thing that would be helpful in preparing for the stay is a checklist/overview in detail of exactly what is needed or provided. Would

We took our two dogs (3 year old chocolate lab, 1 year old Pyrenees mix) for a 4 week board and train at Sorenson Kennels. Not only was it very reasonable pricing, but we got in quickly! Emily was their trainer and was FANTASTIC!!! She did an amazing job understanding each dog and what makes them tick. (Our lab is a bit neurotic and anxious.) She was consistent with updates and photos, and I can tell they were so well cared for. The dogs came home having learned so much and we feel so much more confident in our tools. Emily did a wonderful job teaching us - even my young kids! - in how to lead our dogs in what they learned. This has been a game changer for our family in being able to enjoy our dogs. We brought home our first Lab puppy from Sorensen’s in November. She is the sweetest Lab we’ve ever had. (She’s our 4th) We sent her for board & train recently. Max was her trainer. There are no words to describe the love & care Max provided for her. Above that the training was amazing! She’s well on her way to being the perfect little lady! Thank you so much to Max for providing just what our puppy needed! We’d never take our pup anywhere else. Sorenson’s truly is the best, start to finish!

This was the best investment I could have made into my family and dog. She came back brand new. Her trainer was amazing! If your dog isn't as obedient as you want them to be, don't waste money on PetSmart, or other inconsistent training, take your dog here. You will not regret it.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Max and the team at Sorensen Kennels. Our dog, Bear, stayed with them for training, and the experience was truly exceptional from start to finish. Max is not only incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but he has a calm, patient, and intuitive way of working with dogs that you don’t come across often. You can tell immediately that this is his passion and calling. When we dropped Bear off, he was a sweet but high-energy pup who struggled with impulse control, leash manners, and staying focused. When we picked him up, we could see the difference — he was confident, responsive, clearly proud of himself, and so happy. Max didn’t just teach Bear commands; he gave him structure, purpose, and trust. The respect and bond Bear has with him speaks volumes.
