I cannot say enough good things about Sommers Veterinary Hospital. Our dog Dexter went through a very difficult illness, and throughout the entire process the level of care, compassion, and professionalism we received from everyone there was truly exceptional. Dr. Brent was amazing. He always took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of my questions, and make sure we understood every step of Dexter’s care. During such an emotional and stressful time, his patience, honesty, and compassion meant more than I can put into words. The vet techs and front office staff are just as wonderful. Today i had to make the hard choice of putting down one of our beloved cats. I didn't catch his name as it was an emotional visit, but the male Dr. I had today was amazing. He was very thorough and honest with his exam and explained each scenario with care and respect. The rest of the staff was equally kind and caring during a difficult time. I am very thankful for the amazing staff here, who provides the best / quality care all around. I have taken 2 dogs, and 2 goats prior to this appointment and had Dr. Brooke Unruh who was as equally honest and thorough with each one of my pets and their different ailments. Have always heard great thing about this vet clinic. I’m so glad I went here for my Icy to be seen. I took her in once for an URI. They fit me in that same day. They were so nice and profession. They called days later to see how she was doing. We were able to clear the infection. Unfortunately my Icy had an accident and did not make it. I called them sobbing because as a new cat owner I had no idea what to do. They calmed me on the phone and talked me through what to do. After only visiting once, they took the time to send a card from the staff. It meant so much to my family and me. I will most definitely be going here for all my future vet visits.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing every person at this clinic is. My boy is a very anxious and can be reactive in stressful situations like visiting the vet. From the moment we walked through the door, everyone was receptive to this and did whatever they could to help make him feel a bit more comfortable. You can tell that every person that works here truly cares about the animals they see. Dr. Brooke was great with explaining things and answering any questions that I had. I have always had the best care for my kitties at Sommers. Last year my boy had a urinary blockage and I had to rush him to the ER over an hour away. They placed a catheter and quoted over $5,000 to keep him a few nights. I was able to transfer him to Sommers for the weekend which they don’t typically do weekends. I am SO grateful for their care for my boy. If they hadn’t offered that, I might not still have him around. Staff is always so friendly and informative. They really care about their patients.
