Very rude and not hopeful over the phone. Insulted my decision when I was trying to find a safe place for dog I can no longer look after

Well, I needed a playmate for my 100 pound dog Teddy. I searched for a long time, and although there are many many dogs out there waiting to be rescued, I needed to find that perfect match. Cindy helped with that. We adopted Beau about a week ago. He could not be a sweeter addition to our family. He's five and just a good kind soul. His previous owner's decision is our gain, and he will never ever have to worry about anything for the rest of his life. He has a great meal plan, healthcare is phenomenal, and his social life rocks! So thankful for people like Cindy and Rick, who are there for the animals! Thank you!

I adopted a dog from them 3 years ago who had been there for 2 years. She’s turned out to be the best dog I’ve ever had (aren’t they all? Ha!). Cindy does a great job and her facilities are very beautiful.

This is an amazing shelter with lots of room for the animals to be outside and play during the day. Staff is extremely caring and looks out for the well-being of the animals first.

If you’re black, don’t bother trying to get a family pet from these people. Cindy is also extremely rude and I felt her interaction with me stemmed from racism, as she acted completely different towards the caucasian people. I did nothing or said nothing to illicit such a disgusting response from her. I will be telling all of my friends and family to try a different rescue because I was treated wrongly at this one, and I am horrified that this behavior still exists. I wasn’t even offered to apply for another animal, just swiftly thrown to the side.
