I took my baby to softpaws in atl bc they’re black owned & the reviews were good but they were complete TRASHHHHH, they were tryna charge me $400+ for an antibiotic and painkillers out the gate & a new cat parent probably would’ve paid it but because I wasn’t born yesterday, I asked if I could just get a liquid antibiotic & the price went from $250+ to $60….why not just lead with that or at least mention the different options as your presenting the bill? bc they just want your money They also took my baby OUT THE ROOM & said she'd “be right back”, they had her for 40+ min, and they'd come in & talk to me but still keep her in the back...even wanted me to pay….with her STILL in the back which is sketchy to me because are you trying to steal my cat?? Dr. Jackson and his team have Incredible care, great attention to detail and reasonable (adjustable to budget) pricing. Everyone was super transparent and very sympathetic to my babies conditions. I was given the opportunity for my baby to be examined in room with me, there’s a pull down table. I was given options for medicines and treatments. I’ll definitely be bringing my pup back! I highly recommend Soft Paws Animal Care. My dog had a minor breathing issue that didn't seem to be improving and I took him in at 7:30pm on a weeknight. I appreciate that Dr. Jackson didn't suggest a litany of tests, but offered some options to try first based on what he was seeing. My dog's issue cleared up quickly with a simple medication and blowing out our candles. (who knew!?) Check in and check out was seamless and the tech and Dr. Jackson were very welcoming. If you're looking for a new vet or have an urgent issue with your pet, definitely check out this practice.

Most people would call me a helicopter mom—and I own it. Ace is my baby. When he didn’t start feeling better, Dr. Jackson’s team welcomed us right in and immediately put me at ease. The intake was seamless, Ace was treated with such gentleness, and Dr. Jackson didn’t hesitate to take action while we wait on answers. Now Ace is back home, wrapped in mom’s electric blanket and resting peacefully. I’m so grateful for a team that treats our pets like family and shows up when it matters most.
