Smithsburg Veterinary Clinic

I had a pretty good experience with them for years until it was time to put my dog down. I've always had the male veterinarian and he was great. The female veterinarian that was there didn't speak to me the whole time. She never introduced herself and I didn’t even know her name until afterwards. I was told her name was Dr. Mack. She would whisper to the tech and the tech would speak to me. There was zero communication from her on what would happen next in the process. I've never been through this before. I leaned down to console my dog and during that time she gave the meds (without me knowing). When I leaned up from him it was over. I didn't even get to hold my baby like I wanted to. She walked out and never came back. She showed zero empathy or compassion to my dog or myself. The recept

Went there before and im planning on going bck. Was very decent with us. Only reason we left my little girl needed surgery and they dont take care credit. But I like dr Byers and im going bck. They were nice enough to come to my car to get kymie due to me being disabled and also taking her bck to car for me. Im leaving Mid atlantic and going bck to Smithsburg vet.. Just had a really bad experience with other vet hacking my acct.what a mess . Cant wait to go bck to Smithsburg vet. Went there before and loved it they just didnt take care credit..very convenient for me since their 5 min away.

Dr Conlon cared for both of our 16 year old Shih Tzus. And Dr Ben Byers did the ACL surgery on both of LuLu’s back legs. Continued care was given for 3 more of our Shih Tzus. Keeping them well was just as important as the last day when each dr helped me with the final goodbye. I appreciate our country clinic. I feel like unnecessary tests are not performed, prices are kept low, and even with a cut on doctors the staff have maintained quality care.

This has been our vet for over 15 years, today I called to schedule an appointment because my dogs eyes were swollen and he could not see ( happened over night). When i called for an appointment the receptionist was rude and said I already spoke with your husband, before asking my name. She said they had no vet or dr in today and earliest appointment was weds. I scheduled for weds and she hung up without saying good bye, or confirming any information. I called another vet with my dogs issues and was seen within the hour not in an emergency center luckily because the infection he had could have blinded him had I waited. Worst service my family has ever received we changed vets immediately and would not recommend them to anyone.

If I could give a 0 I would. Tried to get an appointment and the lady interrupted me and told me they weren't accepting new patients. Well that's fine, but you don't have to be so mean about it. One day you will be accepting new patients again and nobody is going to come there because of your very rude employees. I hope the vets are nicer to the animals than the employees are to potential clients.
