. We hired Rogers Home Improvement for a high-cost bathroom renovation. They subcontracted the tile installation to Smitty’s. The tile and grout selections were made directly with the subcontractor’s owner at the outset. Five weeks later, we were told the materials were unavailable, immediately causing delays. A project that was estimated at three weeks ultimately extended to over twenty weeks. The workmanship in both bathrooms is unacceptable. Tiles are visibly misaligned and uneven. Grout color is inconsistent. There are cracks and visible seams throughout. The subcontractor returned more than six times attempting repairs, but each visit addressed isolated issues rather than correcting the overall installation. I have been very pleased from start to finish. My home feels so much nicer with my new carpet. I had no idea how badly it was needed. The installers were great as was my sales person. I have a small carpeted dormer that’s visible from my second story. It never occurred to me to carpet it. The mismatch would have driven me crazy had the salesperson, Sean, not caught it. They were helpful with financing too and allowed me to bring home as many samples as I needed. My only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner.

Dan was helpful from the initial call for an appointment. We had used the online tool to visualize the new flooring. Dan was nice enough to being in samples of what we selected online and some other options. While we chose to go with a different product, my family could not be happier. Billy did an amazing job with the installation. Not only did he keep in contact the entire time with photos and updates, he followed up to ensure we were happy. When it's time to update the remaining flooring in our home, we will be calling Smiddy's.

How this place has the rating it does is beyond me. I’ve never encountered such a lack of quality from a local business. I rent through Berkshire, and unfortunately, this is the company they assigned to handle my carpet—and it’s been a nightmare. After contacting them about serious issues, such as fraying on the staircase, exposed tacks that pose a danger (especially with children), and areas where the subfloor is visible due to poorly cut carpet, they came out to “fix” it. Yet, the problems persist. To make matters worse, the carpet itself is the cheapest quality imaginable. What’s even more disheartening is that Berkshire refused to cover the cost of replacing the carpet. Instead, they passed the expense onto me by permanently raising my rent by $60 a month. I was going to get flooring for my elderly mother who is 79 from here. The first time they went to her house I called to let them know my car did not start and I wouldn't make it. The second time my mom wasn't there and they failed to call ahead to notify her, but she was at an appt. The 3rd time they claim they were outside knocking for 10 minutes and when she got to the door they were gone and now they refuse to install. First they need to call ahead so someone is ready for them, plus knowing she is older they didn't wait the 10 minutes they claimed to have waited. I cant say what kind of work they do but they gave a decent price but now we will be contacting a different company. If you are elderly make sure they call ahead and you stand by your door or they just knock and leave. The ri
