Small Door Veterinary - 14th Street

We've had mostly pleasant experiences with the various doctors at Small Door 14th St, but I wanted to specifically shout out nurse Zoe. She has been at the majority of Lola's appointments over the last couple of years and her kindness, patience, and care for animals is apparent. She takes time to ensure Lola is comfortable/excited and is always willing to answer questions/provide additional resources as needed. Super valuable member of this team and we are always thankful when she is part of the visit!

I’ve been taking my cat to Small Door on 14th St ever since they opened and they always greet me and my cat with smile and excitement! We saw a number of doctors and they are all so amazing but I want to mention Dr. Cherness and Dr. Dugan for taking such an exceptional care for my sweet cat, JJ. But not just the vet doctors, the whole team over at Small Door is superb. They take my cat to treat her in the back and when they bring her out, they always compliment my cat which makes me feel proud and happy. Although my cat is not a fan of visiting Small Door and I also don’t love it (you don’t want to hear bad news) but when we do visit, I know JJ is going to be in good hands.

I took my recently adopted miniature schnauzers to see Dr. Dugan. He and the entire team are just amazing! From the welcoming team at the front desk who didn’t seem phased when my anxious dogs peed on the welcome mat, to their barking because they are still leash reactive. Dr. Dugan and his colleague were thorough and calming. The dogs seemed to actually enjoy the visit (a first for all the dogs I’ve owned). I’m glad to be a new customer at Small Door Vet on 14th St, NW in Washibgton, DC. I know my girls are in good hands!!!

My pup is amazingly so excited to go to the vet. Each time we enter the door she wants to run around and play. The people on 14th st are the absolute best. I would highly recommend considering making Small Door your go-to vet.

Small Door has been my veterinary clinic for about four or five years now. I have been to a few other clinics that came more about making money than they do about caring for your animal companions. What I find stellar anbout Small Door is that every vet doctor and vet tech that has taken care of my three Chihuahuas has been excellent. Moreover, my dogs are on an annual care plan which covers pretty much everything your little one needs, from flea and tick medication, annual visits, nail clipping, as well as all their shots and bloodwork. I highly recommend Small Door to anyone looking for the perfect home for your dog or cats veterinary care.
