I am so grateful and absolutely thankful that I was able to take my sweet kitty mars here. Mars was diagnosed with anemia at our primary care veterinary office and they referred me to come here so he could receive care and a blood transfusion. Wow, let me just say this team absolutely covers all of their bases, they are by far the most supportive and caring team I have ever taken my cat too. Mars has had so many complications within his life and we finally are getting the answers to chronic conditions he has been living with for a long time. The team explains everything very well and does a great job at easing nerves during these super tough situations. 10/10 beautiful team, amazing services, thank you so much for saving my kitties life.

I had a very disappointing experience here. I spent over four hours in the ER and was charged $650, yet I never actually spoke with a veterinarian. There was only one other person in the waiting room with me during this time. I was referred to NC State by urgent care for a specific type of treatment, and I tried to explain this when checking in. Instead of confirming whether they could provide the care I needed, the vet tech rushed to take my cat before I could finish my explanation. She interrupted me and said just give me the high-level and grabbed the cat before I even could explain what I needed. Over the next couple of hours, I was passed between the vet tech and intern who didn’t address my concerns or clarify the services available. It wasn’t until 2.5 hours in that I learned they

After finding a kitten injured on the side of the highway while being 3 hours from home, my boyfriend and I ended up here trying to save the kittens life. Everyone that worked here was so kind and helpful and great and I appreciate all of them so much. However, the prices were astronomical. Our kitten needed a blood transfusion and a leg amputation. The blood transfusion alone was $2000 and they were estimating up to $8000 for the surgery. This was incredibly stressful, especially for two people in their mid 20s who are both students and don’t make a lot of money. We ended up getting the blood transfusion and then taking the kitten home to our local vet for surgery. The surgery at our local vet was under $1000, and they told us a blood transfusion from them would have been around $100. It

My husband and I said goodbye to our bunny Moose recently, and we are so grateful to the staff here for supporting us during that time. The vet was very knowledgeable and was willing to do everything she could to save him. Moose ultimately passed, but that was not due to lack of effort by our vet. She was so compassionate while also being straightforward with us about the problem and his chance of survival had we gone forward with surgery. I would recommend them to anyone!

Update from 5/20/2024 State has continued to do such a wonderful job with my pup Evie as she must receive monthly treatments to stay healthy. We are so incredibly grateful for all they have done for us! So thankful for the emergency and internal medicine team at NC State. After being told nothing was wrong with Evie from other vets I am so glad I trusted my gut and took her to State. Come to find out Evie has Addisons disease and that has caused all of her symptoms and can be deadly if left untreated. Thank you again🤍🐾
