We brought our 1 year old pup, Finnegan, to Dave at Sit Means Sit after seeing the positive experience my sister had with her dog around 10 years ago. Finn is a very active dog and as he continued to grow stronger he became harder to handle outside on our walks. Dave was able to provide us with guidance from day 1 and we’ve already noticed a considerable difference in Finn’s behavior. Now that we’re able to communicate to Finn what we want him to do he has become much more confident and we have been able to trust him more. Dave was also able to touch base with our doggy daycare provider to make sure everyone was on the same page when it comes to Finn’s training. Very appreciative of Dave and the entire team at Sit Means Sit for providing excellent advice and always being available for a fo

Our 6 month old black lab, Seraphina, is a sweet girl but excitable. We knew we needed to get her trained so she could be a fully participating member of our family. We contacted Dave at Sit Means Sit and knew right away we made the right choice. After just the first session she was a changed dog. Focused, appropriately attentive, and a sponge to do more and do better. Our concern was we’d lose that “spark” of puppyness and playful energy by training through e-collar but we need not have worried. She’s learned the difference between “play” time and when to behave and, more importantly, we’ve learned how to transition her effectively between the two. This has been the best thing we could have done to ensure a rich and fulfilling life for the newest member of our family. Dave ensures both

This was my second experience going to Sit Means Sit and my new pup did amazing and learned so much! Dave worked so well with her, as he did my previous dog, and after her training sessions with him she was like a whole new puppy. She’s a lot more obedient which is so important because I have 2 young kids and another on the way. While she was at her full day of training I got updates and pictures from Dave throughout the day. And he reminded me I could always reach out with questions or concerns whenever and he’s there to help. Everything went so smoothly from the start, from scheduling to finishing her training! If you’re considering bringing your dog to Sit Means Sit, I highly recommend!!! Not only do they train your dog, they also teach YOU how to work with them and understand them as w

I don't think I could say enough great things about Dave and the Sit Means Sit program, but I am going to do my best. I brought my 6 year old Huskadoodle Walter to him not knowing what to expect, but understanding that both Waltman and myself needed some serious guidance. Walter is extremely hyperactive, mouthy, and essentially used to doing whatever he wants. Taking him out in public has always been extremely challenging as he is 75lbs and hard to control. After meeting Dave and committing to the program, I saw instant changes in not only Walter but myself. Walter is more gentle, no longer dragging me around on his leash, and overall much less anxious. He is the same happy go lucky dog, but he now has the structure that he so desperately needed. I am also less anxious for guests to come t

I can’t say enough amazing things about Sit Means Sit! First off, signing up and scheduling sessions was incredibly easy. Everyone was so kind and professional throughout the whole process. Before we started, my dog was sweet but crazy and not redirect-able at all. Sadie would pull on walks, ignore commands and jump on furniture as well as people. For reference she is a chihuahua mix and known to be incredibly stubborn. Now? It feels like I’m living with a completely transformed pup. Dave is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping both dogs AND their humans succeed. Every session was clear, supportive, and full of tips on how/what to practice at home. What I loved most is that the program focuses on understanding your dog’s behavior rather than forcing qui
