Outstanding experience here all around! I was initially very skeptical on spending the amount of money for a 2 week day time training course, but it proved to be worth it. From our initial evaluation with Andrea through the final day of training every interaction here was a positive one. Each of the trainers we worked with deserve 5 stars for their talents. As an instructor (in a different field) I understand what it takes to be a good instructor. We worked with Lynn, Jean, Christian, and Lamont 1 on 1 for lessons (and I know that more of the staff worked with our dog), but each of these instructors was well versed, confident, proficient, and professional in their craft. Dog owners (parents) have to understand that it is not just their dog that needs training, but the owner as well. Sit

Cody is a rescued puppy who faced many challenges. As the runt in his litter, he got picked on and torn up, plus he had a birth defect affecting his vision, which needed surgery. I did my best to train him and help him learn how to behave and have fun, but I lacked the necessary knowledge and time to learn. After researching various training facilities, I knew SMS was the perfect choice from the start. Trainer LaMont truly cared about Cody’s well-being and success in the program. Since graduating from Day Train Plus, Cody has transformed. We were able to take him with us Black Friday shopping and to my shock it was easy! He enjoyed his time out on the town but remained obedient and calm the entire time! Trainer LaMont must be magic!! Cody is still his happy and energetic self but is now re

Not cheap but worth every penny!!! Top notch care and training. Our pup Cotton is a changed girl. The trainer Gene was AMAZING!!! The follow up training is a great way to keep her learning and on point.

I spent about $4,000 on the longest board-and-train program offered here, and it was a complete waste of money. None of the issues I brought my dog in for were actually addressed. My main concern was leash pulling. During all three of the training sessions I had with them before taking her home, she was still pulling on the leash. She pulled when we got home, and months later she still pulls exactly the same. The only “solution” I was given was to keep increasing the level on the e-collar, which clearly wasn’t fixing the problem. I’m now working with a different trainer, and one of the first things they pointed out is that my dog appears to be constantly waiting for the e-collar correction instead of actually understanding the commands. That explains why she won’t reliably respond withou

We recently enrolled our almost 2-year-old Siberian Husky rescue in Sit Means Sit ABQ’s 10-day training and boarding program, and I couldn’t believe the change. She was especially difficult to manage at home during the day, but the difference after training has been incredible. Since graduating, we’ve also been attending group lessons, and it’s been amazing to see her continue to improve. Cristian, Lynn, and the entire team deserve a huge shoutout for their incredible work and for treating our dog as if she were their own. If you’re looking for effective, reliable training with people you can truly trust, Sit Means Sit ABQ is the place to go.
