Julie Sharp’s classes are amazing! She connected immediately with all of the dogs, and all of the owners. We were quite a diverse group (Chihuahua to Mastiff), but everyone was struggling with a reactive dog. There is no magic cure here, but Julie’s calm control and positive support week by week brought success to each. We are still a work in progress, but I think the real testament, is that we are continuing to work together, with Julie’s, and her great assistant Eleanor’s guidance.

Julie is a wonderful dog trainer! Lessons were fun and engaging :) she gave our malamute Lumi such a great foundation for general behavior, and also provided strategies for specific issues we had. For example she had us bring our other dog to one of the sessions so that we could really deep dive into one of our major problems—Lumi constantly bothering her much smaller sister on walks. I’m happy to report that now I can walk both of them at the same time, by myself and rarely see an issue :) On top of that, Julie was super accommodating to our living situation—my husband and I live with two housemates, and there was never an issue with all four of us coming to the training sessions. After five lessons I felt like a much more confident and competent dog owner :)

ive been taking my dog ripley to training with julie for the past three weeks and it has absolutely been a revelation for her behaviorally. she's kade huge strides in attentiveness, in performing behaviors, and obedience through an entirely reward based (no aversion based) training. in all honesty the system (clicker training) is really about training the owner, as it should be, and gives you all the tools needed to have an extremely rewarding relationship with your best furry friend. 10/10 absolutely would recommend everyone with a pup to get training at sharp dogs seattle!

Julie was wonderful with my two year old dog Paco! Paco’s issues were fear of strangers. While on walks, he would try to jump on people when they would be too close to him. Her method with treats completely put Paco in control. He now knows that when people are approaching, he should look at me and wait for my guidance and his treat. Working with Julie was a great fun and an educational experience for both my dog and me:) Thank you Julie!

Julie has been working with us to help out our rescued chihuahua Tete to overcome her excessive barking and aggressiveness/lack of confidence. During our sessions Julie provided us with different techniques and at home exercises to help Tete become more zen. Julie also coached us on handling special situations such as plane trips and taking our dog to stay in my parents house (she pictured while my mom pet her!!!). Now that Tete is more confident and our human-dog communication has improved we are able to do activities that before were just impossible. Tete loves to attend her sessions and appreciates all the training treats :) she gets for being a dedicated student. we are still working with Julie on socialization now that Tete is less afraid of the world. Overall the cognitive behavior
