Shark River Veterinary Hospital

I moved up to NJ from Florida with a geriatric cat. After 2 years he let me know it was his time. Someone recommended Shark River Vet so I made an appointment. The staff were so kind and compassionate. I also appreciated the doctor doing the small stuff and explaining everything carefully so that I knew my old boy was comfortable. Dr Battich said that I was a good pet parent and that while he agreed that at 19yo and blind, he comforted me and told me that my cat looked like he'd had a great life and he was more than taken care of by me. When you spend half of your adult life with an animal, they're a part of you. When it's time for the rainbow bridge, it's important that the people who you just met who are now putting down your best bud are knowledgeable and empathetic to the situation. I

The team at Shark River Vet Hospital was very kind and helped me get my dog in a quick visit when she had an impromptu UTI during a vacation visit. They were kind, reliable, efficient, and knowledgeable and helped me get my pup feeling better! Thanks to them she’s doing a lot better. Thank you so much!!

Shark River Vet is the most compassionate and understanding Veterinary Hospital around. My Wheaten is the sweetest and friendliest dog (maybe a little bias) however he is NOT a fan of going to the doctor. Tara and Dr. Sima are very much aware of this and always go over and above to make both of us feel comfortable. Thank you Shark River Veterinary Hospital. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Our cats are always treated so well and with so much gentle kindness! They know the office now and are always able to be relaxed and comfortable which always makes for a great experience!

My very weak and sick senior dog was seen by this facility. My review is aimed at the office help there. Upon entering the office, I was immediately shown papers about prior vet visits that were not even mine. These particular papers had someone else's name on them and not even my pet! Very frustrating and draining to say the least at this very emotional time. Then, upon my arrival at home, I was sent a "Happy Birthday type marketing greeting" with my dog's name on it...totally inappropriate under the circumstances -it was very hurtful to see it. My beloved pet was dying and I never gave them a birth date. The office workers there had very little, if any, compassion. High level of incompetence for sure.
