Shade Mountain Kennel

My husband and I got our puppy from Shade Mountain Kennel back in April. Alanna was extremely easy to work with, and provided us with photos before picking our boy up. Our dog, Rocco, is a healthy Shih Tzu Bichon and quickly became a part of our family. He has an amazing personality and was extremely easy to train. When picking Rocco up she described him as “happy go lucky” that description could not be more true! Alana does a great job with starting potty and crate training. Our Rocco prefers to sleep in his crate at night! We couldn't love him more. We highly recommend getting your puppy from Alanna you will not regret it.

We got two puppies from Shade Mountain Kennel. My first was in July of 2020, i believe he was around $1200. He was so friendly and eager to play with other dogs that we just had to get him a brother. So four months apart, we had two puppies and it was a smooth experience with Shade Mountain. Alana responded to my mom whenever she had a concern or question. For my second dog, the price did raise to 2,200 which is understandable because during that time many people wanted a new fur friend during the pandemic. My dogs are now going on 4 years old and are perfect. My second dog has had some knee problems which is common in shichons and allergies issues in his eyes but that’s about it! We purchased our bernedoodle from Shade Mountain Kennel in October 2020. We brought him home in November 2020 and from the onset it was clear he was a well bred and cared for pup. He slept in his kennel immediately and was very quick to house train. He has an absolutely pleasant demeanor and is a very easily trained dog. We get compliments all the time on his looks and that’s because both his dame and sire were AKC registered and purebred dogs which produce high quality dogs. The best thing about him has been and will always be his temperament. Again, a testament to the breeding practices of SMK, our pup is calm, sweet, loving, energetic, and very easily trained. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body and for part Bernese Mountain dog, he also lacks their stubbornness. Shade Moun

Shade Mountain Kennel is amazing! Our Shichon puppy is happy, healthy, and very well socialized. Alana is always available with friendly advice and helpful answers to all my questions both prior to receiving our puppy and even after our puppy came home. She always sent me pictures of my puppy when requested. Our puppy is very well socialized and came home to us already comfortable in his crate. 4 month old Winston is the second Shichon I’ve adopted from Shade Mountain Kennel. (The first is now 11 years old and is a wonderfully empathic dog) The new puppy is everything Alana described and more! Within the first week he adjusted and is behaving in ways that are better than expected for a young pup transitioning to his new home. Alana is kind and honest. After adoption She will still be available to answer any questions you have.,Trust her, she describes her pups and breeds accurately. She knows what she’s doing. I highly recommend this breeder!
