Senior Dog Sanctuary

I applied to adopt a cocker spaniel through this agency. They contacted my veterinarian and both of my references, and we scheduled a time for me to meet the dog. I even took time off work to attend the meeting. The day before our scheduled visit, I was told that an alumni adopter had recently lost their pet and the dog would be given to them instead that weekend. This was after I had been told the adoption was first-come, first-served. It’s unclear how the dog could be held until that weekend if I was already scheduled and ready to meet him the very next day. This process wasted my references’ time and felt very discouraging and disorganized. It has completely discouraged me from adopting. Very disappointing. I had expressed to the I had been looking to adopt a cocker spaniel for 4 year

Ritchie is Beyond Great! He called back right away and assisted me with my dog when I felt all alone. When I felt no one cared as much and would help. I am still in disbelief and shock by the Kindness of his Sanctuary. My dog is going to be Well and Ok because of the service I received here. There are Still Good people in the World. And Ritchie is Definitely One of Them! I Am So Grateful and Thankful. Thank You So So Much for Helping Bo. Thank you So much for saving her, saving me. 💓

They don't care about your unfortunate situation or circumstance you're in or about providing a sanctuary for your dog as they claim. Now I'm forced to have to consider a "kill shelter" all because they won't communicate. According to their "available adoptable dogs" I know they have the space available to take my dog in. Following up with you after submitting intake is non-existent. They never, and I mean never answer the phones no matter what time of day you call and they respond to emails or voicemails.

I gathered Aiko's sweater, leashes, blue "cot" bed, gray fleece cushion, etc. and I am so glad I took a nice 40-mile ride to "Senior Dog Rescue" Center in Severn, MD. The woman there was so sweet and grateful that I had come to donate Aiko's things so that others could enjoy their comfort. She explained that each dog there has it's own living quarters, including a Pit Bull who has his own shed with heat, A/C, and a flat screen TV. I am so grateful that the rescue accepted our loving donation. Please note that this donation was made in honor of our loving Westies -- Aiko, Aine, Keegan & Maeve Feeney, plus our Staffie Terrier, "Sassy" and APBT's, Honey, Fred and Raisin Feeney.
