Sea Change Canine

I've been training with Sarah at Sea Change Canine since 2018 and she's been a steady positive part of our nosework world. I run two dogs at different skill levels in NACSW and she works with each of them individually to teach them the skills to advance to the next level. She keep things fun and keeps us learning and really brings out the best in both dogs. I'm so grateful we found her.

Sea of Change was recommended to me by a complete stranger (and former dog trainer) that I met in the parking lot to Petco when my puppy Gretta was too terrified to leave the car. She offered to help me and we talked about this business. We brought our two St. Bernards here recently. We found Sarah to be knowledgeable, positive, professional, ethical and realistic. She "tuned in" immediately to what our dogs were saying with their behavior. She used demonstration, tutoring and written reminders to help us. She was not high pressure to come back or join classes. Worth every penny. We will be back.

I have a great dane who is 2 and a half, very excitable and intense around other dogs. We have been working on positive training for over a month now and see the changes happening.Ramona the great went from a choke collar (which was never wanted) to a halter. Sarah is like family, I feel so comfortable bringing my dog to work with her, I can talk to her without judgment and she always has tools for me to leave with. She knows how important my Ramona is to me and she checks back constantly to see how we are or follow up. If you are ever questioning who to go to for training you dont need to look any further.

My husband and I adopted a Catahoula and Australian Shepherd mix in August of 2020. We felt confident in our ability to train him with consistent positive reinforcement, but still had some concerns and gaps in our ability to train some questionable behaviors out of him. I did a quick search of trainers in the area and after reading reviews and checking out websites, we chose to contact Sarah. She responded graciously and eager to help pups adopted during this strange time for all of us and even though she wasn't hosting any classes or doing business as usual, she did accommodate us and our pup with short, socially distant, one-on-one sessions.
