Scruffy Puppy (formerly Amanda’s Grooming)

This is the only groomer I trust! My dog got very freighted at other groomers (I think he was being abused). Amanda is absolutely wonderful, easy going and warm to the pups and their owners. Briggs always loos good and is comfortable! I travel 25 minutes to get to Scruffy Puppy and it’s worth the trip!

Reviewing on the behalf of my mom (she brings her Yorkie mix to Amanda) and self: Scruffy Puppy is AMAZING! When I saw what great care and grooming they did on my mom’s dog, I made the switch from Petco. We are happy with the small business in the sense that you aren’t just a number, you’re a client that is remembered. We always get the exact cuts we ask for. Booking is so easy, especially with online scheduling. Although, I will shout out the quick response I always got when calling! Their automated system lets you know when your pup is ready. And although it might not be the dogs’ favorite outing 😂, they never are anxious or upset when being picked up. We recommend this place to everyone we know! The best in the area.

We have been trusting this place since they were Amanda’s grooming. We have followed them to Lemont because we don’t trust anyone else with our two fur babies Belle and Jaxx then the team at Scruffy Puppy they always do an excellent job and will continue to take our babies their.

Brought my 3 dogs in to Amanda for grooming and they came out looking awesome, smelling fresh and they were happy, too. We've found our new groomer for our pups.

My first appointment was last week- Red flag #1 was that they were not interested in checking if my dog was up to date on her vaccinations when I offered to show them her vaccination record from the vet. Red flag #2 was the price they charged us was different than what it was shown when we booked online, without any warning when we showed up for her appointment, no verification. A BATH with sanitary trim plus charged extra for teeth brush was $95! We chose to not spend an additional $10 for nail grinding because at our old groomers the nail cut was just fine, but after this appointment her nails were sharp and not even/cut in weird angles. The employees were not overly nice, not rude but didn’t seem interested in helping us even though this was our first time here. I don’t think we will be
