Schofield Barracks Veterinary Treatment Facility

Impossible to get an appointment, a call back or returned email. After 10 attempts to contact them in person, by phone or via email…I eventually had 1 returned call and 1 occasion where they were actually open. I wish I could take my recently adopted stray cat here since we live on base and they have better prices than off post. L I really tried to make it happen even if patience was needed for 3-4 more weeks for a “maybe.” This place is geared towards Military dogs and that seems to take up all their time.

I brought my rescue kitty here as she suddenly began showing signs of pain Friday afternoon. Sadly after Dr. D. examined her it was clear she was in pain and her organs were shutting down. They gave me time to say goodbye. I had her cremated and when I picked up the urn there was a lovely sympathy card, ceramic footprint, and a packet of flower seeds. I was very touched by their kindness. I highly recommend this clinic and thank Dr. D and her professional staff for their compassionate care.

Someone please shut this clinic down. Their phone service is non-existent (as well as most base veterinary clinics). Completely pointless. The only possible way you can make an appointment is by physically going there. And most of the time they're always booked out. They're short on staff all the time, probably due to poor management and leadership.

Today is OCTOBER 23rd and i went in the office since the phone never gets answered to the front counter to get an appointment for my dogs and the receptionist told me that the booking for November is not open yet, and the October appointments dates are all booked, they will be open next week don’t understand how this is possible that we can make in advance appointments and needs to wait until the month of and only do appointments for that month only. I think its time to find a better solution to make appointments, answer the phone calls etc or close the clinic in my opinion is not working how is supposed too.

Thank you for being available and helpful when our Mars died. Unfortunately I was never able to do any appointments after we moved here a yr ago due to endless ringing phones. During the year we were here, we were unable to update his shots or follow up about his eczema while searching for another facility with availability. This also limited our options with boarding. While this location is helpful when you can reach them, they are often overwhelmed and possibly understaffed.
