This place made me throw up in my mouth. Read that again. Literal vomit in my mouth. I tried to walk out in and I literally bounced off the stench. Tried again and made it 4 steps before I couldn’t breathe and started gagging so hard I threw up in my mouth. I have never smelled anything like that in my life. I am not exaggerating about this at all. Had two people with me that had similar reactions. This person should not be running a business. They need to be investigated. These animals are being kept in deplorable conditions. I can’t state anything about the fish as I didn’t make it far enough in. Avoid this place at all costs.

This is the best pet store in Joplin, especially if you appreciate fish, birds and reptiles They always have what I need. If I have a question or need advice regarding my reptiles, Tammy is very knowledgeable and so willing to help. I really appreciate this place and certainly recommend it.

Derrick, the is very nice. The prices are very reasonable. If they do not have something in stock he will order it for you. Great place to get your feeder mice for your snakes, everyone should come check it out.

Scales Tails is a fantastic place to purchase healthy fish, reptiles, and birds. They are very helpful and knowledgeable in every area of aquatic and reptile pets. The prices are fair for a small business. It is sometimes slow to check out if others are in the store because the owner wants to make sure you have all the resources available for your pet. I recommend to my friends to stop by and look.

This place is filthy. Theres even a sign saying no pics or videos so people cant prove how bad it is. It smelled. A lady was cleaning rabbit cage and just left the door open. Fish tanks were green with algae.... no. Bad reviews are correct. Nasty.
