SAVE - A Friend to Homeless Animals

SAVE is a wonderful shelter. We definitely recommend that you visit and adopt a pet! We adopted a kitten just two weeks ago, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The website is easy to navigate and shows the available pets. The shelter is beautiful - clean, spacious and airy. Since you make an appointment to see the animals, it's very calm and you don't feel rushed. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. It's clear that the SAVE pets are well loved and well cared for. We chose a very handsome Tuxedo cat (or did he choose us?) and he is a lovable, friendly, funny little guy! A more wonderful animal shelter you can not find. They have a caring friendly staff, excellent leadership and a top notch facility that is clean and organized. They are truly committed not only to find a home, but the right home for every pet. SAVE is known in the community for the organizations compassionate dedication to their mission of rescuing animals and finding them loving homes. I have been working with them for almost a decade and can wholeheartedly recommend them to anybody looking to adopt a dog or cat. edit: We fostered and adopted a beautiful dog named Lyra! I got my furever friend from save. My sweet little Jingles was the perfect addition to our home! Their description of our sweet baby was exactly true, and we got the purfect cat. The love and care Heather and her team put into this shelter is very evident by the way the animals respond to them. Jingles was and is still very shy (she is still opening up each day!) and her caretaker was her whisperer in that shelter. You could tell the love she put into those animals, I think that’s the only time I ever saw Jingles agree to be picked up was with her!! And that’s just goes to show how safe they make those sweet babies feel when they are rescued and brought into the shelter. The people who work and volunteer here are amazing. They love all the animals here. We’ve adopted a dog and a cat from this place and highly recommend anyone looking to provide a cat or a dog with a “forever home” to come, visit, and fall in love with the many animals that need love.
