I moved to the area in summer 2023 and found this place in September. Volunteering here has helped me feel so much at home, being surrounded by wonderful people working every day on a great cause! The horses bring something special to our lives. They are so innocent and in need of love and care. Every time I go there, i leave with my heart full. Whether I helped build (or take down) shelters and fences, mucked stalls and paddocks or spent time with the horses, I just love being surrounded by them. There is so much work to do and so many horses that need help. Keep up the good work!
We have volunteered time at numerous organizations over the past 6 years or so. We've volunteered at 3 other equine rescues and centers in that time. This is a great place. It isn't fancy/over-the-top but that is part of the appeal. They have compassionate people taking great care of their rescues & surrenders. Take the time to reach out and just check this place out. It has the potential to capture your heart and soul.
My daughter and I had an amazing time! We loved the experience, it was definitely magical for us.
