Dr. Shong and his staff are definitely one of the most competent, professional, and caring vet team I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with! I’m so fortunate to have such stellar care so close and accessible. They’ve assisted me on multiple occasions, and I have the utmost confidence placing Daisy and Luke (wire fox terriers) in their care! When in NY, I have access to Cornell Vet School….the team at Sandy Cove is as comprehensive and competent….and at times more practical!

Dr. Shong is in a class of his own. He is deeply kind, knowledgeable, and transparent. We’ve always appreciated that Dr. Shong does not rush to prescribe medicine, and with his many years of experience, always seems to know what’s going on / how to help.

Sandy Cove is the best vet in Charleston. Our sweet Savannah loves to visit. We have received such thorough care. Not many vets will lie on the floor while examining your fur babies—- Doctor Shong is the best. In fact, when our elderly girl has not felt well, she has always been worked in same day.

Our dog started acting different on vacation shortly after we gave her a new treat and really alarmed us. We panicked a bit and drove here and spoke with a vet technician who warmly greeted us, provided great information to us that basically meant our dog was experiencing an upset stomach, and assured us to try a couple options before bringing her in for an appointment. I wish I got her name but she was wonderful! What an asset to the IOP. Thank you!

Dr. Shong and Rockwell are decent Vets. They treated my Zara with such love and respect and I am forever grateful.
