San Francisco Bird Hotel

They were excellent and i was a happy customer until Rosie got MITES from the stay and lost a lot of feathers / weight. The damage is permanent (its been almost 1.5 years since then and there have been color changes / feather regrowth issues). I addressed it immediately and the hotel wrote back with what to do next, which i appreciated. Otherwise its a great / convenient place with great staff, but this is a risk folks should be aware of. Sadly we dont use the hotel anymore 😭

The SF bird hotel and its staff are absolutely incredible. They're knowledgeable, caring, extremely professional and trustworthy. My parrot LOVES coming here and starts doing his excited squeaks when we walk through the door. Special shout out to the staff that takes care of the birds here. Whether my parrot stays for weeks or just a weekend, I know he's in good hands with them.

Don’t be alarmed by all the squawking, this place can sound like a zoo, but I assure you San Francisco Bird Hotel is one of a kind. Everyone here is really nice, and they’ve always accommodated us even with short notice drop offs. The proximity to SFO is great for those who need to hop on a flight. Having moved back to Southern California, and visited bird boarding places here, I have to say I miss SF Bird Hotel. Differences at SF Bird Hotel…1: pick up/drop off hours are 8am to 7pm (SoCal it’s 9am-5pm…what?!) 2: SF Bird hotel is available every single day of the week…we found a place here in SoCal that is closed Sunday & Mondays. 3: Other shops: You are not even allowed into the bird boarding area/setting up your pets cage. Our Meyer's Parrot, who is now 28 years old, has been a regular at the SF Bird Hotel for many years -- and it's always worth the 1.5-2 hour drive to get there! The staff are wonderful, and he is obviously very well cared for (in every sense of the word 'care'! -- including with fresh fruits & veggies daily) -- he's always very content and happy when we arrive for pick up. Our parrot is an absolutely BELOVED VIP family member, who has very specific care needs -- and I do not hesitate to frequently entrust him to the SF Bird Hotel.

What a wonderful place! The owner and employees are very friendly and helpful. They clearly love birds and it shows in their care. The place is clean and organized. When the employees are feeding the birds and cleaning up cages, they talk to all of the birds. They welcome people to stay and look at all the birds in their care, and have a seating area in the macaw room. They will send you updates and pictures during your bird's stay if you inquire. My macaw had her first stay and looked so happy there. The place is incredibly affordable and I will come here again the next time I travel.
