Salty Dog Wash

I’ve been bringing my Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier to this grooming shop for over five years, and I’m so pleased with the continued care and professionalism—even with the change in ownership The new groomer is truly wonderful. She’s kind, communicative, and very open to working with me to maintain the traditional style of Wheaten cut I prefer. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the dogs in her care. Tarzan came out looking fantastic and seemed comfortable and happy! I also really appreciate the option to communicate via text message; it makes scheduling and follow-up so much easier. My only suggestion would be to update the sign out front, but otherwise, everything has been great.

I've been bringing my dog for mostly the self wash for years, but recently brought him in for a full grooming. I couldn't be happier. Chelsea did a great job with him and bonus, he didn't hate it. He's got a very thick and long coat and I felt I had lost the battle, but Chelsea fixed it and gave me some pointers. (I'd rather have her do it)

Kate is an older rescue and had issues with getting her nails done. She was so patient with her that Kate doesn't mind any more. She's also very knowledgeable and has given me some good tips for training and keeping the dog well groomed.

If you’re not ready for a “story time” then I’ll start with the trimmed down version.. it’s a Yes to Salty Dog Wash and a YES to Chelsie. I first spoke with Chelsie on the phone about 6 months ago to discuss bringing our 14 yo Husky/Shepherd mix in for a nail trim. He has a ton of anxiety and fear surrounding his nails and we were at a loss. Since moving from California a few years back we had been unable to find a place that could do it without full anesthesia which was less and less okay at his age. Chelsie was amazing right away. She was empathetic and confident and even though we live about an hour from Bainbridge, I made an appointment for the very next day. To my unbelievable surprise.. the Salty Dog Wash team was able to trim all of his nails..SPOILER ALERT: We have been back eve

What a fantastic place! It would be even more amazing if they had more staff to help out. The groomers seem to be really swamped. If you want to make sure your dog doesn't come home with sharp nails, make sure to request nail filing instead of just clipping - I’ll be doing this next time. Despite that, I was extremely happy with their work on my puppy (golden doodle).
