Rusty Guns Kennel

I was a guest/handle at RGK to complete a test for my versatile gun dog. The facility was amazing with all tires of ground to conduct training and testing. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful, as this was my first time stepping onto the grounds. Being unfamiliar with anyone, and unfamiliar with the location, I was made to feel very welcome and was put at ease very early on. Thank you Rusty Gun Kennel for allowing the opportunity for testing.

Scott and Kyley are great people and excellent trainers. They also breed quality dogs every so often. It took a few years but their breeding cycle finally coincided with my puppy needs (okay, I waited for it) and I couldn’t be happier with my dog. Little man works his butt off and is very cooperative with the whole family. Truly working family dogs.

We dropped off an energetic, happy 8 month old GSP with no sense of boundaries that did not listen. We got back a 10 month old energetic, happy GSP that listens and is learning the boundaries. She was introduced to guns, water, birds, and so much more. The staff here is fantastic and I’d recommend them to anyone. Special thanks to Ciera, Craig, Scott, Jason, and that other guy for helping us with this wild girl.

Entering the dog training world again, in a new state and far away from all the resources I had amassed with my first dog, was a bit daunting at first. However, it only took a few minutes with Scott and Kyley to know they were focused on results and quality. RGK offers me the total package, and their phased gundog program is well-designed and seemingly perfect for what I’m looking for in a professional trainer offering to compliment my limited time to train myself. Hank and my family and I are so thankful to find RGK, and I look forward to continue to learn and team with them into the future.

Our 18 month old GSP spent 2 months at RGK. Scott & Kyle had a traumatic family situation a week after we dropped our pup off. We told them we could pick Seamus up and reschedule after they took care of things at home. Kyle assured us they had it handled, and to our delight, the entire RGK team rallied. RGK did a fantastic job cleaning up some of Seamus’ impulse drives. They also helped me clean up some of my training mistakes. I am really excited about his shift from hunting for himself to us hunting as a team. Cierra, Craig and Trish are fantastic assets to the team.
