Ruffled Feathers Parrot Rescue and Sanctuary

I am so very grateful to Gil and Ruffled Feathers for the kind heartedness and willingness to help me and take in my father's Goffin Cockatoo when he died. Gil sent me several sets of photos of her, now happily living with friends at the Sanctuary and let me know how she was doing and adjusting to her new and happy life. We were able to eventually make a decent donation to Ruffled Feathers for her care, but Gil did not know we would be able to do that; he was there to help at this difficult time regardless.

Thank you to Ruffled Feathers for taking my parakeet. This little bird was never as happy as the moment she joined your flock. Your facility is very impressive. It was immediately obvious the care and concern you have for all your fortunate rescues. Amazing what you do! .

I couldn't be more pleased with the choice I had to make with surrendering my bird Murphy to Ruffled feathers. Been about a year now an every time I'd inquire about murphy I've always received a response from Yvonne. I sincerely hope if you ever have to make that hard choice in your life. You consider this rescue.

Bless them for providing a sanctuary for exotic birds. There are so many beautiful birds that need a home during their lifetime due to rehoming. I am a exotic bird owner and I know all the reasons it happens.

This is a beautiful retirement place for beautiful parrots. Yvonne & Gil are striving to give the parrots as close to a natural environment as can be humanely possible! Loved our visit , & Gil is a saint for getting our parrots down there safely. What we all do makes a difference in the lives of these wonderful creatures. Thank you Yvonne for doing what you guys do. I have had my parrots over 18 years and I am entrusting their lives here in this sanctuary. After having parrots this long, I fully believe after experience none of them should be allowed to be held captive. Perhaps one day all that will change! In the meantime, they have a safe retirement in this sanctuary! This will be their final home. Please volunteer or donate , all our actions make a difference!!
