Rub My Belly Doggie Spa

When we started using rub my belly 3 years ago, we and our dog loved it but the service has taken an absolute nose dive recently. The groomers/ owner refuse to communicate prior to making executive decisions on dogs grooming and are completely unapologetic when concerns are raised. They have a tendency to imply owners are poor caretakers when questioned about changes or issues. Improper drying has led to multiple ear infections for our dog, and a few times the gland clearing has been either skipped entirely or not performed properly causing irritation and expensive trips to the vet. They are always rushing to complete grooming so they can close early but then call you 5 minutes before they want to leave making you feel like you are an inconvenience to them. Lucy always looks beautiful after Angie grooms her. As a rescue dog, Lucy had "issues" when I got her 5 years ago. Angie and her staff have been wonderful with her. Rub My Belly is the best!!

This is my furbaby’s second groom at Rub My Belly. I must admit, shes’s quite a handful! But RMB has done a great job with her both times. I’ve been in Ohio for 7 1/2 years, and I’ve experienced awful service from other establishments. However, in my opinion, RMBDS is the best! Thanks so much for taking such good care of my Sasha🐾💖

My dog Sunny was skittish at first, but Angie was so patient and kind. They do a great job, and now my dog loves going to get groomed! The prices are low compared to other places, and all of the employees are so kind! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We’ve been bringing our dog to Rub My Belly every 3–5 weeks for nearly three years—essentially once a month—and our most recent experience was the final straw. Despite brushing him twice a week and only ever seeing minimal matting at home, we were spoken to in an extremely patronizing and accusatory manner—told that someone there could “teach us how to care for our dog.” This was said after expressing concern at pickup, and it was both unprofessional and insulting. What’s worse, the groomer made a drastic, irreversible decision to shave him down without any call or communication. We have never had a groomer make a major change like this without contacting us first. It was 9°F outside, and now he has no fur except on his ears.
