Royal Treatment: Dog Manor & Grooming Spa

We used Royal Treatment: Dog Manor & Grooming Spa in Baton Rouge for grooming for our two dogs, Clyde and Daisy. The grooming itself was acceptable, but the overall experience was frustrating and expensive for what we received. I initially tried to book through their online portal, which I have used before without issue, but for some reason grooming services were not showing up this time. Because of that, I messaged them directly and requested grooming and nail trims for both dogs, along with group play time for Clyde. I was offered a 10:00 bath slot and confirmed it. I assumed everything discussed was included. However, when my stepdaughter arrived, she was told Clyde was not booked for group play and that they did not have room. The first 2 photos are before and the last 3 are now. One of the before pictures was taken 2 days ago! Look at that chopped up uneven mess!!!! I have been going here about a year or year and a half. I have always been happy when leaving. I have had different groomers and I can say Chasity was my absolute favorite. However she is gone now so I’ve been shuffled around between the ones they have. I say the same thing to every groomer, DO NOT TOUCH MY DOGS EARS OR TAIL!!! I’ve said it till the cows come home. Imagine my horror when I picked my dog up today only to see her ears chopped up. I am beyond livid!!! What makes it that much worse is because I was being lied to saying nobody touched her ears. I showed them a picture from 2 days ago showing how long her ears were. Ms. Ana at Royal Treatment used to be our groomer and she is the absolute best! She's so sweet and did a great job! However, we stopped going there about a year ago because we had a terrible experience with the doggy daycare there. I dropped off our Izzabella to play at doggy daycare and apparently she was immediately thrown in a cage. Within eight minutes of me dropping her off and driving off, I receive a call from Royal Treatment to come pick up Izzabella because she broke a canine tooth being left unattended in the cage. Had I known she would be immediately thrown in a cage, I would not have brought her to play that day. It ended up costing over $1000 for surgery to remove the rest of the tooth and repair her gums. I still love this place! I now have two dogs who only come here for all their needs! I have one big baby and a little rascal, both of which the Royal Treatment Team takes excellent care of! I love how they actually remember my dogs when I drop them off for grooming or daycare and anything important about their stay! Will only come here for the remainder of my time in Baton Rouge!!
