Rocky Mountain Pet Shop

Rocky Mountain Pet Shop is the best pet supply shop in the Aspen area for supplies and toys. This place sits right near the heart of town, making it very convenient to visit. The people on staff at Rocky Mountain Pet are very nice and knowledgeable as well. We couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough!

I stopped in while on vacation because I was running low on my dog’s food. When I asked if they carried the specific brand we use, I was told they didn’t, which is totally fine, but the employee then said, “you can do better,” which felt condescending. I wasn’t asking for unsolicited nutrition advice, and I’m certainly not going to switch my dog’s food while traveling without consulting our veterinarian. I explained that this is the food we use and that we were visiting from out of town, and he tried to sell me something else, describing it as the “least expensive option I have,” which made me feel like assumptions were being made about what I could afford. I adore this pet shop. Every time I visit I always go in for prezzies for my four legged kids! This time I was able to travel with my two poodles and they LOVED it. All of the food items are top quality and what my dogs are accustomed to. I was able to purchase more food since we ended up extending our stay in Aspen. For being a smaller store, the amount of inventory is truly impressive!!! I always love visiting and Shane and the other young man working were very helpful, suggesting pumpkin treats for pup’s upset stomach. It worked perfectly and they were fine after that for the remainder of the trip.
