ROCK DOG AND CAT

I hate leaving bad reviews and I rarely do if ever. My wife and I have been supporting this for years. These Gentlemen always seem to have our best interest in mind and always are kind and compassionate and knowledge. The last few times we visited the store, we felt we were being over charged (we did the math based on the few items we purchased and it did not add up. When we contacted them for itemized receipt they sent us one that was from the year before. We had to call back twice (I think they tried to ignore us the first time time) and finally we got them to give us the itemized information over the phone only to find out they did over charge us They assured us they would give us a credit to make up for this issue, which we reluctantly accepted, even though that is not what you wanted.

I’m extremely let down by these people. They sold me a 20lb bag of MOLDY high quality food, and when I brought it back to find a solution, they said they don’t have the same flavor and if I wanted the only other flavor I’d have to pay $10 more. They’ve also raised their prices by $9 over the course of two months. Extremely disappointing after all the money I’ve given this store. Now I have to run all over town trying to locate a bag of this food for my large breed puppy with a sensitive stomach, so he doesn’t get sick. So upset with this place now.

I've only ever came here to get the smartbatchdog freeze dried dog food. Every time I've came here he's given me a hateful vibe. Condescending in explaining how to work the dog wash system, I let it pass. Not signing me up for a rewards program account, but signing up my partner, I let it pass. I finally get signed up with my own phone number by his female associate and she explains to me the rewards program. She scans the same items I always get and says I can collect points that equate to money off. Cool, I spend about $100 bucks a month on these. Several months down the line, I decide to go pick up the food instead of my partner. Peter not only ignores my existence. Store has great toys, treats and other pet supplies. Very helpful staff, really helps you to find what you need. Far prefer Rock Dog and Cat to massive stores like Petco/Petsmart, where there is an overwhelming amount of products and very little help finding what you need.

ZERO STARS!!! Do not shop here! The owners are extremely rude and out of line. They do not own pets of their own they purchased this location from the original owners over the pandemic. They are in it for the money and not for the education or care for our pets. They are not residents of eagle rock as I have spoken to them in person asking why they are always so hostile. I frequent many of the businesses in eagle rock to support local. Transport skateshop, tea and me, ok Chinese food, all about poke, Tommy’s, Pete’s, Casa Blanca, the Italian and many more. I respect the community and the owners that work so hard to keep it running. Thats to only Name a very Few. I always encounter the owners of Rock Dog and Cat chasing people off their property for parking. They said they pay for parking
