Customer Reviews
We love Roam. Leia, our 50 pound pitbull, jumps into the van and so is excited to get to camp when she is picked up. The team there is great and provide constant communication. Getting photos of Leia having the best time and thriving in an off leash environment warms our heart. We highly recommend this camp for anyone who is looking to board their dog there. Leia is eagerly waiting her next visit.
We used Roam Camp for the first time this year and our 1 year old Shepherd mix, Halsey, had an absolute blast! She was only supposed to be there for a week but then our plans changed and Halsey ended up staying 3 whole weeks with Kristin and folks. We weren’t worried at all. Everyone was super responsive to texts and we got lots of fun pictures every day. It’s a major bonus that they come to NYC to pick up because many dog boarding places in Manhattan are fully inside and you have to pay extra for a simple walk around the block. At Roam Camp, Halsey got to roam around free outside like a happy dog! We will definitely be using Roam Camp again for our future boarding needs. :)
As a dog owner, if you don’t relish being swamped by jealousy, don’t bring your pet to Roam Camp. Learn from my experience. First, whenever I call to make an appointment, they are always ready to accommodate me. That’s suspicious, and should have warned me something was up. Second, when we arrive, someone who runs Roam Camp--Seth (the owner), Kristen (the AKC-certified manager), Jennifer (a certified nurse for humans, who loves dogs) or Dave (another AKC-certified guy, married to Kristen)--greets me and Bo, and Bo starts waving her tail in a furious, rightward, helicopter-like motion that everyone knows means joy. What’s going on here? Am I torturing her at home with twice daily, hour-long walks in the woods, from which she needs liberating? Then they torture me with videos of Bo swimming
Have used Seth Cooper and Canine Country Quarters for my dogs, Mister Moose and Zeppo Marx. They take exceptionally good care of all the dogs entrusted to them; send updates and photos; and pick-up and drop-off on time. I would never hesitate to use them in the future.
Canine Country Quarters, what would we do without you? Our precious pup, Gertie, has been to CCQ four times now and has the time of her life there! And who could blame her? She gets to run, swim, hike, chill and snooze at her home away from home, while mom and dad do their thing with absolutely no worries - a vacation for everyone involved. Thanks to Seth and crew for being trustworthy, responsible and all-around awesome!
