Riverside County (West) Animal Shelter

Looked at a dog and spoke to staff thay said I had to wait till Monday to be able to adopt. Gave him my phone number he said il give you a call when hes ready Came Monday. Came Monday found out thay were closed so I came back Tuesday said the dog was out for a walk to come back today now thay said o were sorry that dog has been adopted. Why would you make me waist my time coming back and fourth just to tell me no. This is why the shelter has so many dogs because when ppl come to adopt you guys b.s. then some staff asked me if I had surrender a dog if I had surrender a dog why would I be trying to adopt. Makes no sense. Definitely never coming hear again and will not recommend to anyone.

Took great tender care of my puppy. It was easy to pick my dog up and they waved fees because of my hardship financial situation. They gave her all her needed vaccines and dewormed her and when she came home my puppy was happy and I could tell she hadn’t been through any trauma while my pup wasn’t with me . Thank you to this animal shelter for helping me get my puppy back !!

The facility was clean and well-organized, and I could tell the animals were being well taken care of. I came in looking to adopt and ended up finding the perfect furry companion. The adoption process was smooth, and they answered all my questions with patience and care. You can tell they truly want the best for each animal and for the families adopting them. I recently adopted/foster a 8 week German shepherd puppy from San Jacinto animal shelter, but I live in Jurupa valley and went to this one to take the puppy for a wellness visit. Honestly it was the best experience I’ve had with an Animal shelter. First The place is very clean and staff is very helpful. Since my dog is a puppy and I’m still fostering, he gets free shots and free vet visits. My puppy slept wrong and had pain I took him in, they seen me right away. The doctor was very helpful! He gave him meds and vitamins. And sent home vitamins and medications at no charge. The next day the puppy was much better. And has been thriving since! I would highly recommend to foster from here, you save so much from vet visits, medication and adoption is FREE, and they take good care of your pup u

We went a few weeks ago to adopt a dog. The facility is very impressive - the best I have seen. I wish it wasn't so full but that's a reason we went there. The staff was attentive, plenty of dogs being walked outside and we left with our new family friend. Communication since then has been good - our spay procedure is set to finalize the adoption.
