Ridgeview Ragdolls

Had a great experience adopting from Ridgeview. I got my girl Charli (formerly Cali) from Lori in Feb 2024 and she is the best cat I’ve ever had. Lori was great with responding quickly and answering all my questions and gave me great information when I picked Charli up. Only health issue we had was a minor allergic reaction to her first round of vaccines when I got her home but it was easily treated with Benadryl before receiving further shots. It’s now been 2 years and she’s become the baby of our little family, we travel together (many road trips from Nashville to Pennsylvania), have lots of snuggle time, love playing with catnip toys, and she loves playing with my dogs. The ragdoll I purchased came home with watery diarrhea and a very bad smell that could mean bacterial infection. I immediately called the breeder and was told this was normal stress. No need for worry. I took my kitten to the vet the next morning. The most friendly lovable kitten that sat in my arms for the 7 hour car ride and purred all the entire time, also he slept by my side. The vet noticed his stomach was swollen. Lab tests confirmed he was loaded with Giardia. This is spread by contaminated food or water. The lab report indicated the highest level that is counted on tests. I contacted breeder. She said her vet admitted they gave the kitten Giardia (by putting a post surgical neutered kitten in a contaminated cage or feeding from unclean bowls). She would not give me name of vet or a

The Ragdoll kitten I purchased from Ridgeview very quickly had FIP, person who purchased her littermate is also dealing with the same issue. The response we've received from Ridgeview Ragdolls has been deflective and dismissive at best.
