We had an amazing experience with Shonnah during our dog’s three-week Board and Train program. She taught our dog a solid “place” command with calm settling, a relaxed heel, and off-leash walking just like we requested. She also worked on our dog’s jumping habits, which have significantly improved. Shonnah exposed our dog to many environments like Lowe’s, parks, and other public places, helping her become much more neutral and confident out in the world. We’re so grateful for the progress and would highly recommend Shonnah to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated trainer. Best decision we have ever made for our dog and ourselves !! She went to 4 weeks of in home training with Amanda and came home a well trained , consistent and happy girl! Lola is our 4 year old terrier, she had issues with reactivity in many situations, it was impossible to redirect her when she locked on to something. She was TERRIBLE on the leash , pulling the entire time you were walking and would not come to you if she was interested in something. We had an overall great experience with Ridgeside K9 Summerville. Our 10-month-old Golden Retriever, Whiskey, needed help with leash pulling, overall confidence, and some resource guarding. Our trainer Jeff was outstanding—very knowledgeable, patient, and great with Whiskey from the start. You can tell he loves dogs and I was completely comfortable leaving Whiskey in his care. Our Caesar was stubborn and difficult to handle for over 3 years when we finally broke down and contacted a few different board and train organizations. Ridgeside K9 appeared to be competitively priced and after studying the site we agreed on allowing the Trainer that was suggested to work with Caesar for 3 weeks. Shonnah is a miracle worker! We adopted a puppy without knowing she’s part cattle dog, Australian shepherd, and border collie (read: CRAZY!). We were getting nowhere training her at home but after three weeks of boarding with Shonnah, we can walk her on a leash, she has stellar recall, she knows how to be calm and neutral, she can be peaceful and friendly around kids and other dogs, and she’s stopped stressing and being fearful of everything. She’s a totally different puppy and infinitely happier!
