Not sure why reviews are so mixed for this place. I took Boobie here for a checkup when I noticed one of her teeth was loose. The doctor did a very thorough exam, and was very friendly. I ended up having to get a dental cleaning for my dog, which was expected. They printed out a sheet outlining the fees for the bloodwork and the dental cleaning itself—nothing was a surprise. In fact it was very reasonable prices. When I took Boobie in for the exam, all of the front desk girls were lovely, including the doctor’s assistant, who held my dog for an hour after the procedure because she wouldn’t calm down. The worst vet experience I’ve had to this day. I drove all the way from east Harlem with my senior puggle for his dental cleaning appointment only for the receptionist to tell me at the time of the appointment that the vet wasn’t gonna be there and that we needed to reschedule to another day. Mind you, this was after we already had paid for his blood exam to make sure he was fit for anesthesia, so this was our second drive all the way there. We wasted hundreds of dollars and countless hours only to be met with this last minute change. No apologies whatsoever from the vet. They also were incredibly loose about the whole process. My go to vet for the last 7 years. Only good experiences with this doctor and office. During the passing of our beloved Maltese the office staff and Dr. Shukla was very sympathetic towards me and my wife's emotional state. We greatly appreciated them for that.

I am so pleased with the service here. My Sally has hip issues and being so young we didn’t know what to expect. She is on medication and natural supplements and is doing great! Sally loves to visit. Goes to counter then right to scale to her she is going to see her friends. I highly recommend Rahway Animal Hospital. They are kind considerate and their pricing is affordable.
