R Veterinary at Laurie

Kind receptionist got us in right away. The vet was amazing. Diagnosed the problem without insisting that we get blood work and x-rays which would have been very costly. She gave our 8 month old puppy a couple shots and sent us home with some additional meds. 24 hours later and she’s back to being a crazy/wild puppy. We will definitely be back.

Excellent group of people! Both Laurie office & Linn Creek. I actually felt like they cared about me & my animals. I've had to put one dog & one cat put to sleep this year. They were very considerate.

My baby Keisha had been exposed to kennel cough by my other dog. A few days later on Sunday morning she started coughing and vomiting. She got extremely sick. She vomited at least 25 times in 24 hours and was having a very hard time breathing. I called R Veterinary at 9:00 am on the dot Monday morning and they were able to get her in at 3:30 that day. They made sure no other dogs were in the office to cross contaminate. They did an examination and confirmed it was indeed kennel cough. She was sent home with 3 prescriptions. My total for the visit and pills came to $132. This seems reasonable. It's now 24 hours later and my baby Keisha is so much better. She feels 100% better. I live in Kansas City but spend most of my time at the lake since I retired. My dachshund, Gracie Lou, developed an ear infection and RVeterinary-Laurie was available the same day I called even though we were new clients. Awesome! Gracie has a mind of her own and a stubborn streak, as anyone who has owned a dachshund will attest to! Dachshunds were bred to hunt badgers in their burrows. They are a brave and fierce breed! As such, Gracie can become aggressive during veterinary visits and I always recommend use of a muzzle. Unfortunately, Gracie was in no mood to be muzzled and was clearly willing to bite anyone who tried to look in her very painful infected ear.
