Purrfect pets

I had the worst experience of being a customer in this place. First of I called to price an item that was over $80. I came to the store as I said I would and not only purchased that item but also purchased something else, yes $ 100 customer. I had my grandchild with me that's 3 years old. I was treated like we were germs because my grandchild was acting out tremendously. There was no empathy no concern for helping the customer, in fact the man there was so unconcerned with helping me to the curb with the large item I purchased that the cab left and a another cab had to be ordered. I will never ever use this place again. Come hell or high water. I would rather go further in travel than to be treated with such disregard.

I was recommended by a friend to buy fish for my aquarium from a pet shop named Purrfect Pets in Far Rockaway. When I entered the store it kinda looked like a jungle filled with exotic plants for sale. I was greeted by the owner of the store. He showed me the fish room and I was amazed by all the tropical fish he was selling at reasonable prices. I brought a pair of elephant nose fish and a pair of exotic angel fish. I also purchase the supplies I need to feed my fish and to maintain my fish tank. The owner explained how I should take care of my new fish. I also saw a sun conure bird that I'm interested in purchasing. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. I found a new family owned pet shop that will be my go to shop for all my animal needs. A hidden gem in rockaway. walk in & it’s like being transferred to another place. tons of plants, crystals, jewelry things, and of course the pets. they have a fish room and a grooming room downstairs. The prices are reasonable, obviously not chewy, it is a local business. Seems to be owned by a family, as such- the staff is friendly. They mention they can order or arrange any pet/item you need

Don't buy ANYTHING from this place. I bought a hamster and he died 4 days later. I bought everything from here. He was sick from the first day. The people who work here are incompetent, can't tell you anything about the animals they're around all day, and have no clue how to handle sensitive situations. I highly doubt they're going to explain to my 3 year old how a hamster we just bought died. I've heard rumors that this place sold sick animals but I wish I'd listened. The health inspector needs to investigate. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK. The staff said we can get another (possibly sick or dying) hamster or store credit but no refund. Why would I want ANYTHING from a store that sold me a dying animal? Trust me, make the longer drive now so you don't have to later.
